Endometriosis is a notoriously painful condition affecting more than 11% of Australian women, according to Endometriosis Australia. It is characterised by the presence of endometrial tissue, normally found inside the uterus, in other areas of the abdomen. The reduction in quality of life for women with endometriosis has been estimated at A$4 billion per annum (Ernst & Young (2019): The Cost of Endometriosis in Australia Report).

200 women will participate in the study to monitor the safety and efficacy of medicinal cannabis as an adjunct treatment and management option for refractory chronic pain, a common symptom of endometriosis.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:
-200 Australian women will be recruited to participate in Applied Cannabis Research’s endometriosis observational study through CA Clinics
-Endometriosis is estimated to affect more than 11% of Australian women and the reduced quality of life is estimated to result in a societal cost of $4 billion a year

This collection grew out of an article she wrote for the PNW magazine on how our community saved our local beach from coastal erosion. The dune grass depicted is a sign that the beach is healthy. This beach was once considered one of the fastest eroding beaches in the world.

The establishment of the regional hydrogen technology clusters announced today – which cover all of Australia’s states and territories – follows the conclusion of a seed funding selection program started by NERA in September. NERA has also been able to leverage a range of funding commitments from state and territory governments around the country, as well as industry financial support.

NERA CEO Miranda Taylor said today’s announcement was a crucial step in building the skills, capacities and commercialisation opportunities necessary to unlock Australia’s enormous potential to create a globally competitive hydrogen industry that, according to a 2019 Deloitte report, could increase Australia’s GDP up to $26 billion.

The "Art of the Day" Method
In each art video, Ilene follows a simple method to answer three questions: What do you see? Who's the artist? What's the point? To answer these questions, Ilene creates a narrative of specific details. Then she looks at what the artist says about the work. Finally, she teases out a point. The videos are fast and fun, averaging under 3 minutes. Ilene welcomes comments and questions.
