Sounds of Justice: Superstar Seth Anthony's "Free Taylor" Debuts 7 November 2020

Seth Anthony makes movement music for those dealing with real-life issues

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, October 31, 2020 / — Thousands of people have been wrongly convicted across the country in a system defined by official indifference to innocence and error.

Taylor Conley was one of those who were wrongfully convicted, and he was incarcerated in 2006 at the age of twenty and is serving a life sentence.

Inspired by Conley's story, Seth Anthony, a rising musician who makes movement music for those dealing with real-life issues, devised the "Free Taylor" concept after Taylor and his wife Cecilia started a social enterprise called "Designed Conviction." The company is dedicated to giving a voice to those who have been incarcerated or formerly incarcerated.

The United States has the largest prison population and the fastest rate of incarceration in the world. According to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, nearly 6.9 million people were in the criminal justice system (including jail, prison, probation, and parole) by the end of 2014, and 2.2 million people were in prison or local jails. Incarceration rates disproportionately impact people of color, especially in terms of drug-related offenses, despite the fact that drug use and sales are comparable across race and ethnicity.

"No matter the struggles or hardships a person may go through, you can always persevere if you don't give up." – Seth Anthony.

A fresh mix of rap and rock, the sonically sensational "Free Taylor" EP will be released on November 7, 2020, the date Anthony was finally released from prison.

Working with James Wood, owner and head engineer of Executive Studios, "Free Taylor" features Bubba Sparsxxx and Burden. To learn more about this special EP, go to

Born in Florida, Anthony made poor decisions at a young age and got involved in selling drugs, spending a total of eight years in prison. Since then, his music, unique style, and voice have set him apart. Now with over 22,456 monthly listeners, his most popular tracks include such hits as "Ballad of an Outlaw," Roughnecks Fall in Love," and "Rebel Road." Seth Anthony is on the way to becoming a nationally recognized artist.

Watch and listen to Seth Anthony on Youtube

Seth Anthony was born on February 14, 1986, in Fort Pierce, Florida. An Independent American Country singer and songwriter, Anthony started making music at the age of 17. Inspired by his mother, an aspiring singer/songwriter from Tennessee, his diverse set of musical influences have played a significant role in creating his unique, cross-genre brand of "roughneck country." With challenges that music helped to overcome, Anthony's trials and tribulations led to coping techniques through lyrics that told a story. Anthony writes poetic narratives that help him connect with listeners while working through past traumatic experiences. He excels in the novelization, crafting short stories through personal experience and his imagination. In 2017, Anthony relocated to Tampa Bay and began recording at Executive Studios in Clearwater, Florida. He immediately gained the attention of his peers and fellow musician for his unique style and sound.

Every Now and Zen Press Releases Its Second Book Entitled: Song of Ron

Author: Ronald Steven Kaplan

Singer Ron Kaplan & Kapland Records Have Expanded Their Repertoire with the Addition of Song of Ron as the 2nd release by Every Now and Zen Press

APTOS, CALIF., USA, October 31, 2020 / — Kapland Records and Every Now and Zen Press have released its second book entitled: Song of Ron
Now available exclusively in partnership with available in print or ebook online at:
Beginning 12.15.2020 you can find it everywhere including Amazon

Song of Ron is an artifact of songs written between 1976-1983, commemorated as this book of poetry entitled Song of Ron. It can be said that all songs are love songs… At least that was what I thought when listening to the radio going through what was once known as a 'break-up'. And in those songs were tales of found love and lost love as an ever present theme across cultures and genres. It was then that I turned off the radio and began to learn to play the guitar and write my own songs. So when I look at this collection of my songs I can see that trend. In the beginning it was about love lost, love celebrated, and love sought. And as my mind expanded beyond the world of feelings I began to write on issues, and ideas, and eventually humor, with humanity at heart, in the process of being human.
Songs are poems set to music… Ronald Steven Kaplan

45 years have passed since then, and although I have forgotten how to play the guitar after setting it down since that time so long ago, to focus on what was in front of me; of building a business, a family, and a life with my wife Cheri. I did come back to music eventually to sing once again, which became a saving grace for the next 25 years from 1994-2020 albeit as a Jazz Singer interpreting the repertoire of the Jazz Standards of the Great American Songbook. I am so glad I lived in a musical world to express myself and bask in its sea of emotions, feelings, sensations, vibrations, imagery, and co-creations.

I knew right from the start that music and I were meant to be companions, resonating together throughout time. In my mind, singers are born, and I was born to sing among other species of our world in the Animal Kingdom. It is what comes most naturally to me. There are memories and anecdotal reports of me singing at the very young age of 2 or 3. Even my name Ron is diminutive of the male given name Ronald, of Hebrew origin, meaning 'Song of Joy'. So then, Song of Ron is aptly titled, for these are the lyrics from the songs that I wrote and sang with my guitar, a valued friend and trusty companion throughout those years.

CTEK Builder: Wargo's 1967 Nova Build Puts a Crazy Twist on a Classic Car

John Wargo's 1967 Chevy Nova with yellow and gray paint scheme

John Wargo, of The Custom Shop, says he’s known for putting crazy twists on his auto builds. His 1967 Nova is no exception and features a yellow and gray paint scheme designed to wow.

John Wargo founded The Custom Shop in Flanagan, IL 32 years ago. Since then, the shop has created top-notch builds, including this 1967 Chevy Nova.

Black and white CTEK charger outline for 2020 Builder Challenge powered by CTEK

Six of the nation’s top auto builders are competing in the 2020 Builder Challenge powered by CTEK.

John Wargo is proof that big things can come from small towns. For the past 32 years, his shop has created some of the top auto builds in the nation.

FLANAGAN, ILLINOIS, USA, October 31, 2020 / — John Wargo is proof that big things can come from small towns. John and his wife, Kim, own The Custom Shop, in the small Central Illinois town of Flanagan. For the past 32 years, the shop has created some of the top auto builds in the nation.

“I bought my first car when I was 14, so I’ve been a die-hard car guy my whole life,” said Wargo, who is participating in the virtual 2020 Builder Challenge powered by CTEK.

Wargo’s entry is his 1967 Chevy Nova. “We build a lot of muscle cars at the shop, and I really like the body style of the Nova,” said Wargo.

In his designs, Wargo is known for “putting a wild and crazy twist on things.” The Nova is no exception. His yellow and gray paint scheme has the wow factor.

“There are a lot of hidden graphics within the graphics. There’s a hex mesh pattern faded into the paint and ghosted dollar signs coming off the Nova lettering. The top yellow goes down to a darker fade, and there are five colors in that fade transition. The bottom charcoal fades two colors from top to bottom. There are a lot of drop shadows and 3D highlights almost floating on the paint job. The level of detail in the artwork really makes this car jump.”

Wargo added, “We’ve done a lot of carbon fiber stuff on the build to take it to the next level like a high-end race car.”

Taking things to the next level has been a hallmark of Wargo’s builds since the beginning.

While still a high school student, Wargo purchased a total of 16 vehicles. “Back then you could buy a car for $250, spend a couple hundred working on it and sell it for $1,000. Then flip the profits into the next project. I’m still doing the same thing all these years later … it’s just gotten more expensive,” he said.

Wargo opened The Custom Shop three months after graduating from high school. “In our town of 1,000, there was an old Chrysler dealership that had sat empty for a year-and-a-half. I went to the bank and begged and pleaded with them to give me a loan so I could buy the building. It’s the same building I’m in today,” he said, adding The Custom Shop is a family business with his wife, mom, son, and daughter all working for him. His father also worked at The Custom Shop but has since retired.

“There were people who told us on Day 1 a high-end custom shop in a town of 1,000 would never work,” said Wargo. Through hard work and dedication, Wargo and the staff at The Custom Shop have proved them wrong.

“We’ve had more than 300 magazine features as well as 60 magazine covers. It all goes back to hard work. There are a lot of good shops out there, and good shops stay busy,” he said.

Wargo relies on CTEK battery chargers for his builds. “A lot of these show cars don’t get used on a daily basis, maybe once or twice a month. We were having customers come back because their batteries were dead. Once I switched over to CTEK a number of years ago, I’ve seen a 100% turn around in not having those batteries go bad.”

“It’s made for happier customers because they’re not kicking the tires because their battery is dead, and it saves me having to go pick up the car and replace the battery. In my opinion, a CTEK charger is part of the build, it’s not an add on,” he said. “We’ve been in this business for 32 years, we’ve seen products come and go, and we don’t want to give our customers something we can’t stand by. CTEK is the perfect example of a good product. We use it on all of our projects because it works so well.”

In the virtual Builder Challenge powered by CTEK, Wargo will showcase his 1967 Chevy Nova on social media alongside other CTEK sponsored builds. Fans will have a chance to vote on their favorite build at with the winning builder receiving a CTEK prize package. One lucky voter, drawn at random, will also receive a CTEK prize. Voting will be open Nov. 2-6. For more information, visit or

Mark Harvey and his Aardvark Jazz Orchestra have been called “a bracing walk on the wild side of the big band spectrum” (Jazz Times)

Renowned composer Mark Harvey will discuss his Aardvark Jazz Orchestra's new CD and play excerpts in livestream interview with jazz journalist Bob Blumenthal

Fresh….unconventional, The Aardvark Jazz Orchestra proves once more its reputation as one of the best jazz ensembles in the world.”

Jean Buzelin (CultureJazz.Fr) hailed the new CD, Faces of Souls, writing: “The most beautiful big band in the world…Mark Harvey has an uncanny mastery for balancing and opposing orchestral masses, and he daringly creates unusual associations and complex rhythms. His orchestra “rings,” the nuances stand out, the colors vibrate, the power is expressed fully.” Troy Dostert (Free Jazz Collective) called the album "expansive…gorgeous…stirring."

Faces of Souls takes listeners on a captivating journey through seven of Harvey’s masterful compositions, from elegies that draw on small-ensemble work, to sweeping orchestral masterpieces that weave complex tapestries of harmonies, rhythms, colors and textures. Harvey’s brilliant cast of musicians, many with 30+ years on the Aardvark bandstand, shine equally in consummate section work and inspired solos. The title track takes its inspiration from the Shaw Memorial in Boston, Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ powerful sculpture of Colonel Robert Gould Shaw and his 54th Massachusetts Regiment, who were among the first African Americans to fight in the Civil War. The other pieces expand on the album’s themes of social justice and democratic values.

Kimlin Johnson, Acclaimed Civil Rights Activist, Speaks On A Step Towards a Solution to Systemic Racism

Acclaimed Author & Civil Rights Activist Kimlin Johnson

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 30, 2020 / — As a Black woman, Kimlin Johnson has endured systemic racism in every aspect of her life as detailed in her book Authenticity, Accountability &. Ambitions (AAA). She believes as minorities we attempt to both ignore and pretend away the blatant systemic racism because we have bills to pay, our kid’s academics are so good or we are trying to reach our goals. Therefore, we come up with all these sayings like, 'the devil you know is better than the one you don’t, don’t leave the fire and go to the pit and many more'. All of these are just coping mechanisms because of all the responsibilities and lifestyles we have."

Johnson believes that "We as Black People have work to do in our communities. It is not just a Black or White problem, the problem is economic (#gree- What does this hashtag mean?)." Kimlin’s step towards a solution to systemic racism is financial education, wealth building & proper protection. Please join Kimlin as she hosts her first economic event on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 12 PM PST on zoom (Zoom Meeting ID: 951-212-4075 Password: 457767). Tracie Weathers, Kimlin’s mentor and business coach, will be sharing part two of How Money Works? Tracie states, “ The new civil rights movement is all about economics." Kimlin believes, systemic racism is a major symptom of the lack of intergenerational wealth opportunities for Black people. This November 7th event is just the beginning to financially educate and elevate the mindset of all attendees.

Kimlin worked as an Engineer for over 20 years at the Los Angeles County Sanitation District and she states, “Engineers are trained to solve problems.” Throughout Kimlin’s book, AAA, she documents various experiences related to the racism she has endured. Kimlin states, “Even though I endured racism I have never gotten stuck in it. I will achieve some major goals and I am called to help the Black Community, which will ultimately help the world.” August of 2020, Kimlin celebrated the two-year anniversary of her book, "Authenticity, Accountability & Ambitions" (AAA).

AAA is expertly broken up into four key sections that teach readers about the “untaught history of America,” Johnson’s personal challenges and triumphs as a strong Black woman, mother, and wife, as well as a myriad of ways that Black Americans can empower each other and themselves. AAA uncovers a raw Kimlin as she unapologetically stands for being brave to address her challenges and concerns faced in her life. Any Human Being, regardless of age or race, will find significant value in the book’s integral message of civil unity, the target audience is geared toward college students, who are our nation’s future lawmakers and leaders.
