If you observe any of these symptoms of a heart problem, take your child to your primary care physician. They will refer you to a pediatric cardiologist – children’s heart specialist for further tests”

— Dr. Kamal Pourmoghadam, Orlando, Florida

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, May 31, 2019 / — Did you know that one in every 100 children suffer from a heart problem? This includes heart defects that may be present from birth, or developed at birth, or turned into a defect as the child grew up. These defects are usually treated with the help of medicine, surgery, or several medical procedures combined.

To explain, medical doctor and surgeon Kamal Pourmoghadam, MD has published an informational article on this subject in an easy-to-understand way. The complete article will be published on the Blog of Dr. Pourmoghadam at

At times, it is difficult to identify a heart defect, and many children continue to live a normal life with little to no problems. However, in some cases, children may find difficulty in performing normal tasks such as running or walking due to a heart problem. This happens when the heart problem goes undetected at an earlier stage and becomes a huge health concern later on in life.

Hence, heart defects must be treated as soon as possible and to detect them in the first place, the following are some symptoms that you must watch out for.

Common Signs and Symptoms of Heart Problems in Children

Heart problems can occur in infants, toddlers, and older children, and these children may exhibit the following symptoms concerning heart defects:
1. Infants
* Feeling out of breath when feeding milk
* Becoming sweaty during feeds
* Gums or tongue turning blue
* Passing out

2. Toddlers
* Failing to stay as active as other children
* Feeling fatigued and getting out of breath during simple activities as compared to other kids of that age
* Getting sweaty quicker than other kids. Sometimes after even less activity than other children.
* Blue skin color (gums/tongue)
* Frequent fainting
3. Teens
* Chest pain while performing exercises
* Fatigue and dizziness
* Passing out
* Swelling in the legs, abdomen, and skin around the eyes
* Shortness of breath during exercise or while playing sports
* Getting tired easily

When to See a Doctor

If you observe any of these symptoms of a heart problem, take your child to your primary care physician. They will refer you to a pediatric cardiologist – children’s heart specialist. The children’s heart specialist will perform the necessary tests to diagnose the type of heart defect your child is suffering from.

Some of the tests that a pediatric cardiologist will conduct are:

* Chest X-ray which is a simple X-ray to identify any hole or lump in the chest.
* An ECG is another test in which wires are attached using sticky dots on the chest, arms, and legs. These wires diagnose the electrical activity of the heart. This test takes only a few minutes and doesn’t cause any sort of pain. However, your child will be required to stay composed during the test.
* An ultrasound scan, known as an echocardiogram, will also be conducted. In this type of test, a handheld scanner scans the chest and stomach and presents your child’s heart’s image on a TV monitor. In this test, your child may feel pressure as the scanner is pressed firmly against the skin. So, it can be uncomfortable. However, it is not painful.
Some common treatments for heart defects are medicines, surgery, and procedures like using a catheter to stop blood from flowing in between the chambers, etc.

Lawson Laments Innocence

Jarrion Lawson Maintains Innocence after Year Long Ordeal

ATLANTA, GA, USA, May 31, 2019 / —
The IAAF Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), will be issuing a decision in the Jarrion Lawson case in the coming days, and the result of that decision will have Lawson sanctioned for 4 years.

Lawson and his team will contest the decision at the Court of Arbitration of Sport.

“This process has been unbelievably daunting.” Said Lawson. “At every turn, I keep thinking that common sense and justice will prevail, but I am continually disappointed. I have not been nervous to this point because I am innocent and I maintain confidence that eventually things will be righted.”

Two recent cases have shown that meat contamination has caused positive tests for Trenbolone/Epitrenbolone and both athletes were cleared of any wrongdoing by their respective anti-doping bodies. In both these cases, the athletes’ levels of epitrenbolone in their urine were virtually identical to the level in Jarrion Lawson’s sample.

The amount of epitrenbolone measured in Jarrion Lawson’s sample was 0.65 nanograms, which is so minute in weight that it is 90,000 times lighter than a single grain of salt. Trenbolone is used as a growth promoter in the vast majority of beef in the United States.

The AIU does not contest that Jarrion Lawson ate beef 19 hours before his urine test, and the tribunal also acknowledges that contaminated beef is capable of causing a positive test for epitrenbolone at low levels, however their decision is based on the premise that Jarrion Lawson was unable to prove that the beef he ate was the source.

Paul Doyle, Jarrion’s agent, says this decision shows that there is an extremely flawed system in place at the World Anti-Doing Agency (WADA). “To be honest, it is absurd that the WADA code places such an impossible burden on athletes to prove the source. How can you go back and test meat that was eaten months ago? You simply can’t. WADA is aware that these contaminations happen and they do nothing to protect clean athletes that fall into this trap. It is completely irresponsible of WADA, and athletes need to stand up to this and make a change, otherwise, they could be next.”

LONDON, GREATER LONDON, UK, May 31, 2019 / — The global market for nursing care is expected to reach a value of nearly above $1 trillion by 2022, having grown at an annual rate of above 8% since 2018.

Growth in the nursing care market in the historic period resulted from the rapid growth in the size of the elderly population, strong economic growth in emerging markets, changes in social patterns, and health insurance reforms. Factors that negatively affected growth in the historic period were low healthcare access in some countries, shortages of skilled human resources, lack of insurance coverage and weak wage growth in developed economies. Going forward, faster economic growth, technological developments and increasingly busy and sedentary lifestyles will drive growth. Factors that could hinder the growth of this market in the future include shortages of skilled human resources, insufficient public health insurance coverage, and a rising number of home health entities falling into insolvency.

Are you still paying outrageous fees for Private Placement Memorandums?

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, May 31, 2019 / — The Evolution of the Private Placement Memorandums!

For investors and readers who are not familiar with the term, let me tell you about this antiquated, and costly legal document called a PPM (Private Placement Memorandum). A PPM is generally a long, and therefore expensive, legal document that attorneys love to make money from. These documents easily measure a half an inch thick or more when printed and is given to prospective investors (as if they will actually read all of it). The PPM does, in small part describe an investment deal, but for the most part, explains and lays out all the risks involved with investment.

PPMs originated within the old days of paper prospectus’ that were required of companies that were selling securities within the confines of a registered offering. Before the internet, companies would have to sell their credibility and prove their legal adherence through these sorts of costly but necessary forms and documents.

The only people who still seem to enjoy the size and scope of PPMs are attorneys, who typically charge ten to forty thousand dollars for a new PPM. Such a ridiculous business expense, especially when you consider it is no longer a “cost of doing business”.

Today, in 2019, where the internet of things dominates the business landscape, that cost of doing business can go bye bye. When securities are sold only to accredited investors under Rule 506(b) or 506(c), the issuer is not required to provide the information described in Rule 506(b)2) – The belief is that accredited investors will ask the proper questions to safeguard their own assets.

Under the scope of Title II of the JOBS Act, issuers can only sell to accredited investors as described in Rule 506. Because of this statement of law, the issuer is free to decide what information should be provided and in what form that info is delivered.

The law clearly states that a PPM is NOT NEEDED, but the lawyers, out to continue their golden goose pay days continue to push and sell a product that is no longer needed. PPMs offer no added protection for the issuer or the investor. They carry no tangible benefits when you think of the cost for these bulky, redundant and illegible documents that are full of legal jargon that the common man, or investor, can’t understand. Instead of aiding the marketing of the investment deal, PPMs can in many instances cause friction and adversity between the parties involved. A PPM is not attractive or alluring and can easily turn people off to the deal an issuer is trying to sell.

Why even consider the PPM? They clearly are not needed based on the law presented in Rule 506.

There is a precedent for what we are saying here too. Ever since the opening of the “Information Superhighway”, the internet, we have seen a steady decline in the use of PPMs and the rate is accelerating now that many organizations are realizing they can use a much simpler disclosure document.

Disruptions to industries are common place these days, and even the more conservative, set in their ways industries, such as real estate and finance are set for a reckoning. The abandonment of traditional, expensive and bulky PPMs is coming.

Full blown PPMs are no longer necessary, are too expensive, and nobody reads them. A smaller, more functional disclosure document is quickly becoming the industry norm. Today, you can digitize your PPM on your own self-branded landing page as part of its massive suite of hi-tech SEC compliant features offered through a companies licensing platform. You no longer have to wait weeks while legal counsel prepares a PPM template and charges you thousands of dollars.

Save that money in legal fees and use digital PPM's to attract more investors. Make these smart business decisions by going with a cutting edge, ahead of the curve platform that can be the difference between making and breaking a deal.

Singer/Songwriter Brinn Black Burns For More On “72’s”

Brinn Black PR shot by Cory Brandon Clay

Brinn Black PR shot by Cory Brandon Clay

New Song "72's" Streaming Now On All Platforms

NASHVILLE, TN, UNITED STATES, May 31, 2019 / — Singer/songwriter Brinn Black burns for more attention from her lover in her newest release, “72’s.” Comparing the obsession her partner has for his beloved Marlboros to the attention she receives from him, Brinn finds herself on the short end of the stick and wondering why. The track starts off with a slow-burning spark that explodes into an all-consuming fire. The song is dynamic, the lyric adept; Black’s voice seductive. The result is a performance that is every bit as addictive as love – or nicotine – and it’s streaming now on all platforms; radio can find “72’s” on Play MPE.

If I was your nicotine
And your smoke break craving was kissing me
I wish you’d breathe me in just like you do
All those blue marlboro 72’s (Brinn Black, Briana Tyson, Brittany Kennell)

Produced by NBC’s The Voice (2016) contestant Nolan Neal Seals, whose credits include Adam Wakefield, Saliva and Matt Bailie, the song was written by Brinn, Briana Tyson and Brittany Kennell. The nuanced track, which premiered yesterday on Roughstock, features bassist Reed Berin (Clare Dunn), Justin Ostrander (Sam Hunt, Steven Tyler, Kenny Chesney) on electric guitar, drummer Grady Saxman (Luke Combs, Uncle Kracker), Smith Curry on steel (Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Willie Nelson) and Jimmy Wallace on B3, keyboards and synthesizer (Joe Walsh, The Wallflowers).

These top-tier pickers set a dark and moody stage for Black, who works the building dynamic like the professional that she is: the highs are in the stratosphere and the lows are rock bottom. Industry insiders are noting Brinn’s sultry soliloquy brings a “fresh perspective on Country music” (Unsynd) and are hailing her ability to portray “pure desire, and the ache of longing” that are evident in her “emotional vocal delivery” (Global Songwriters Connection).

Fans will have several opportunities to see the Virginia native throughout CMA Fest week. She kicks her busy schedule off on June 4 on Facebook Live with Sunday’s Kind of Country at 6 p.m. Additional appearances include:

6/5 Belcourt Taps (6-7 p.m.)
6/6 The Stillery (1-2 p.m.)
6/9 INDIE FEST @Alley Taps (2-3 p.m.)

Brinn is no stranger to large crowds; she formed the multi-day Lyrics On The Lake Songwriters Festival with a group of friends six years ago, and the 7th Annual Festival will be held this year June 12-16 at Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. To date, the charitable event has drawn thousands of music lovers to the area and raised over $100,000 to benefit the community and The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals of Central and Southwest Virginia.

She’s been performing since the age of four, but since she moved to Nashville at the age of 18, this soulful songstress has taken a more entrepreneurial approach to her music. She continues to pour herself into her songwriting, recording, and touring, and that dedication has led to performances at the legendary Ryman Auditorium and the Bluebird Cafe. Black has opened shows for Lady Antebellum, Ronnie Dunn, Darius Rucker, Justin Moore, Little Big Town, Montgomery Gentry, Gretchen Wilson, LoCash, Dustin Lynch, Sammy Kershaw and more. She’s released several songs, including her most vulnerable piece of work, “Daddy’s Medicine,” in 2017. The companion music video has amassed more than 200,000 views, while the track has gained nearly 30,000 streams on Spotify. The native of Chester, Virginia also uses her musical talents to help others while giving back with the creation of Lyrics On The Lake, an annual, multi-day festival held at Smith Mountain Lake, VA. Brinn is also a hands-on advocate for programs including Christmas 4 Kids, Give It To Goodwill, Hands On Nashville, the Columbia Shop-With-A-Cop program, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also prides herself on being an ambassador for LEAD Southeast, a public school in Nashville committed to preparing artistic young students for a four-year college or university. She has one dog (Little Miss Molly B), loves dark chocolate, Italian food and SEC sports.

Himachal Mukhopadhyay Shares Insight into the Growing Number of FDA-Approved Biosimilars

Himachal Mukhopadhyay

ROSEVILLE, CALIFORNIA, USA, May 31, 2019 / — Healthcare professional Himachal Mukhopadhyay has studied developing trends of biosimilars for decades. He helps shed light on FDA-approved biosimilar medications and their implications for patients now and in the future.

Himachal Mukhopadhyay has over 20 years in the healthcare industry, where he’s taken on roles in Operations, Delivery, Engineering, and Sales/Business Development. As a leader and strategic advisor, he studies ongoing healthcare trends to provide in-depth research and creative solutions to his clients. Below, he remarks on the recent advancements in biological medicine and the increase of FDA-approved biosimilars, which have major implications for healthcare patients around the world.

“Last year, the number of FDA-approved biosimilars nearly doubled thanks to advancements in technology and research,” says Himachal Mukhopadhyay. “Because of these approvals, patients everywhere can have access to specialized biological treatments at a much lower cost.”

Biological Medicine vs. Conventional Medication

Biological products are advanced scientific discoveries that encompass products like vaccines, gene therapy, blood components, and recombinant therapeutic proteins. Biologics are composed of a range of substances and often include living entities like tissues and cells to deliver effective treatment results where no other treatments may be available.

Conventional medication is largely made up of chemically-synthesized ingredients whose structures are well known after years of study and development. Biological medicine, on the other hand, is made up of complex biological mixtures that implement cutting-edge biomedical research to treat illnesses and conditions. In addition, these medications are more susceptible to damage from heat and microbial contamination. This tends to drive up the cost for healthcare patients as do the patented ingredients, processes, and price of past research.

Biosimilars Offer Nearly-Identical Alternatives

Himachal Mukhopadhyay notes that because biologics are so complex and specialized, they tend to be highly expensive and not a valid option for many patients whose illnesses or conditions could otherwise benefit from them. Biosimilars are copycat formulas of approved biologic medicine. The effectiveness of a biosimilar medication is tested against the effectiveness of the reference product in extensive laboratory and clinical research to determine if it’s a viable option for healthcare patients.

Before a biosimilar can be released for public use, it first must prove that it produces no meaningful differences from the product it imitates in terms of effectiveness and safety. Recently, the FDA has approved more biosimilars than ever, creating generic alternatives for patients around the world.

Biosimilars Mean Cheaper Treatment Options for Many

The biggest benefit of biosimilars for patients is the difference in cost. Patented formulas allow manufacturers to control pricing as they see fit, but biosimilars give competitors and secondary manufacturers the opportunity to provide similar medication at a fraction of the cost (similar to brand name medications and their generic counterparts).

“As the FDA approves more and more biosimilars, healthcare patients can expect to encounter more specialized treatment and care at much more affordable pricing,” says Himachal Mukhopadhyay. “In the future, this will mean greater access to complex medicine for international patients and ultimately a much healthier populace as a result.”

What is the National Youth Soccer Program and How Can You Get Involved? Coach Bryan Nazor Weighs In

Bryan Nazor

Youth Soccer Coach Bryan Nazor Shares Experience With National Youth Soccer Program

CHESTNUT RIDGE, NEW YORK, USA, May 31, 2019 / — The National Youth Soccer Program (U.S. Club Soccer), exists to “transform the lives of America’s youth through the game of soccer.” For many people, including Bryan Nazor, a resident of Chestnut Ridge, New York, working with this youth soccer program has been inspiring and fulfilling.

U.S. Youth Soccer is a non-profit organization that provides a path for young people who want to break into playing soccer. The program teaches core values, like respect, integrity, teamwork and excellent, which Bryan Nazor said is an important component and allows the coaches to act as mentors in addition to teaching the game of soccer.

The organization was founded in 1974 and today has more than 3,000,000 players between ages 5 and 19. Most of the 300,000 coaches in the organization are volunteers like Bryan Nazor. These coaches spend their time educating and improving the lives of young soccer players in their community.

“Being a youth soccer coach has been more rewarding than I could have imagined,” said Bryan Nazor. “I get to work with motivated, talented kids and give back to my community in a tangible way.”

Many resources are provided to coaches from U.S. Youth Soccer, so those who are first-time coaches can be equipped with the tools they need. These resources include lesson plans, rules of the game, video clips, articles on coaching and even workshops and presentations to train coaches.

“The lesson plans were valuable to me in learning how to structure a soccer practice,” said Bryan Nazor. “At first it can seem intimidating, but there are lesson plans for all ages so you can teach them the skills they need, whether they are 6 years old or 16.”

Bryan Nazor said it was helpful to have a guide of listening to and communicating with players provided to him.
